notable nuggets: * will NOT come with desktop software (eh!?) * amazon mp3 will be the primary method of getting music * other US carriers WILL get the PRE. 90 days exclusivity to sprint, open market after that. * gsm-pre will be announced for europe / asia in mid-feb. * this will be awesome.
Palm Pre Hands On: The Movie. Disregard the bad narration, but DANG this is impressive ISH.

from what is described here, i think palm is making a VERY strong run for a comeback. i hope they succeed.
wow. i didn’t think palm could do it but i think they’ve made some pretty smart choices. web os built on top of css, html, and xml is a very good way to go.
the interface is SLICK. one thing palm always did excellent was UI design. looking at the pics of its UI…palm is making a run fo-rizzle!!
i agree with bgr’s assessment later though — why tie yourself to a carrier like sprint!? somehow i think verizon was approached first and they balked (like they did with the iphone).
for everyone’s sake i hope palm does very well with this.
man the memories.
baaaah :(. why no at&t!?!?
i for one would very much appreciate this…i would start buying from the itunes store again. tons of songs i’ve just have NOT bought because of DRM.
